KP Civils on behalf of South Staffs Water, have been involved in laying 8km of up to 400mm PE, and installing 2 km of PE pipe and 200+ new service boxes on a failing AC water system using 110/90/63mm PE pipe and trenchless technology in pipe bursting and slip-lining.

Two teams were deployed to reduce the programme timeframe and increase efficiency. Trenchless technology was used in 100m sections resulting in multiple excavations outside residential properties. Safety was paramount and teams worked following social distancing guidelines, often over weekends to ensure strict timelines were adhered to.
